What Is Samba Software?
Samba is an Open Source Software suite that provides seamless file and print services to SMB/CIFS clients.Samba is freely available, unlike other SMB/CIFS implementations, and allows for interoperability between Linux/Unix servers and Windows-based clients.
Samba is software that can be run on a platform other than Microsoft Windows, for example, Linux, OpenVMS, IBM System 390, UNIX, and other operating systems. Samba uses the TCP/IP protocol that is installed on the host server.
Install Samba Software in Ubuntu Linux:
Here I will show you two methods of installing this software application.
Method1:(Using Ubuntu Software Center)
1. First Install Ubuntu Software center.
2. Search for “Samba”.
3. Click Install.That’s it 
Method2:(Using Terminal)
1. Goto Terminal window.
2. Type the following command,
sudo apt-get install samba smbfs
3. Hit Enter.
